About Natalie

Before starting her studio, Natalie spent years connecting people with place. In her classrooms, she taught a variety of courses in history, performance art, visual art, vintage curation, and archaeology. It was in these rooms that she helped her students discover the power of space and place, guiding them to examine their own identities as a lens for understanding the environments that shape us — and the layered histories that form the world around us.

Spaces reflect and inform our identity, and Natalie is grateful to have had the opportunity to hold space in many places she called home, including Asheville, NC, and Brooklyn, NY. Now creating a home in Decatur, GA, she has found that each place has had a profound impact on her perspective and aesthetic.

In the fall of 2026, Natalie will begin working towards a Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design at Georgia State University. She is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers, and sits on the advisory board of the Olmsted Linear Park Alliance.

Outside of design, she enjoys road trips to explore new places with her family and restoring her garden, designed by the late garden designer Ryan Gainey. She is passionate about antiques and vintage, so any time she is out sourcing, whether for clients or for herself, she is happy.

“Natalie is persistent in her pursuit of quality while being realistic about project limitations. She’s team-oriented and collaborative; there are no strangers on her site.

The Okra Flower

Why the Okra flower?

Designing in place matters, and for that reason, we look to Okra, a plant commonly cultivated in gardens throughout the American South. It holds a rich history, spanning cultures and continents. The plant is known for its unique shape, taste and adaptability, all things that we value when sourcing inspiration and materials.
